For several decades, Hammarby Bandy has been teaching children in Stockholm how to skate. We believe that skating is for everyone and that bandy is the most beautiful sport there is. After taking part in our Bandy & Skating School, we hope you will feel the same!

- Sundays, 12:00–13:00: Bandy School
Training times at Zinkensdamms IP once the outdoor rink opens

- Sundays, 16:00–17:00: Bandy School
Exception: Week 51
Due to an event at Zinkensdamms IP on Saturday, we will hold both the Bandy School and Skating School on Sunday, 20 December.
Everyone is welcome!
All children, regardless of previous experience, are welcome on both days. We divide the children into groups based on their skating ability and experience, so that everyone gets the right level of challenge.
On Saturdays, we focus on skating skills and play. On Sundays, we introduce sticks and balls and focus more on bandy.
We will also have a separate girls’ group during both the Bandy School and Skating School.
Who can join?
The Bandy & Skating School is aimed at children born between 2017 and 2023.
The children will be divided into groups on the ice based on their previous experience.
For our youngest children in the Skating School, it is important that they are able to get up on their own after falling. If they are not yet able to do this, a parent or guardian will need to be on the ice with them.
We will also have a beginner group for children born between 2017 and 2019, with the ambition of eventually joining a team and playing organised bandy.
During the Bandy School, we encourage parents to stay on the sidelines and cheer on the children. Parents who are helping as assistant coaches are welcome on the ice but you need to talk to me before.
Fees
The fee is SEK 1,500, including membership.
The fee also includes a Hammarby Bandy training shirt. If you already have a Hammarby Bandy träning shirt from previous years, you are of course welcome to use that instead.
Bandy sticks can also be purchased on site.
Equipment
Skates, a helmet with a face cage and a neck guard are mandatory for both the Bandy School and Skating School. This is an important part of keeping all children safe on the ice.
If you are missing any equipment, we have some equipment available to borrow. Just ask us when you arrive!
Coaches
All sessions are led by trained coaches from Hammarby Bandy’s youth organisation.
